Madre y Nino

I photocopied one of my favorite vintage Madonna images onto silk-embellishing her with beading, embroidery and appliqué. I used vintage damask for the background- dying it a wonderful marigold yellow. The antique lace flowers & angels are cut from old linens and then hand painted with fabric paint. The vintage frame was found at a flea market-which I hand painted and embellished with Milagros.
