my husbands b-day is today-but last night he recieved the best present he could hope for.  two out of three of his  “twentysomething aged” children went to the movies with us last night.not only is it difficult to get everyone together, it’s almost impossible to have everyone agree on a movie.  we saw  julie taymor’s new film” across the universe”- we all gave it two thumbs way up!  i am 52, my husband is 51-so we were not quite children of the 60’s, but those turbulent and magical times hold vivid memories for both of us. 

 what is more intresting-the audience we saw it with were for the most part late teen’s to late 40’s-at the end of the film not only was there applause, but i would say 95% of the audience stayed for the credits.
