i try and take betty-my youngest girl, to the dog park once a week. she is very social, and gets along with everyone. while she enjoys running and playing with the big dogs- she particularly likes the small dog enclosure.  she is not invited, because of her size.   she stands at the fence, and wistfully observes the terriers, teacups, and miniatures racing around, as they do, like small energetic wind up toys.  betty is delighted when a brave owner leads his pug , min pin, or scottie in with the big dogs. betty occasionally forgets her size, but she is almost  always on her best behavior with smaller dogs. coco-the french bull dog (who thinks she is a BIG dog) is one of her best friends-size, color, pedigree-none of this matters in the dog world-we humans could learn a lot.
