we had our tamale exhange party yesterday-lots of great food, good company, and fun!
my friend cola, the queen of henna, beautified us during our many “breaks” -making tamales is hard work.
the girls-were not invited to the party, much to their dismay. (oreo did manage to steal a cupcake )
they were mollified by visits from kaylee and emma.

What a great looking party. I love all the colors. And of course I love those dogs, always!

it was sooo fun! we ended up with about 30 different tamlales to exchange. there was an assortment for all palates. quite a few of my friends are vegetarian-(and 3 are strict vegan) the rest are “meat eaters”, so we had hard core beef and pork to the other side of the spectrum-mango and apple. my tamale choice was a oxacan pumpkin and blck bean-to die for!!!
