Under the water damage and grime- I knew it was a gem! I was able to clean it up a bit-the beautiful handmade frame and original glass (with bubbles) are in perfect condition. The colors just pop- i am in heaven!

A couple of weeks ago I sent my kids pictures of the “dove twins”- little  naked blobs with their eyes still closed. The response from my oldest daughter was- “Mom- send me a picture when they are cuter- ie: when they have feathers”. The residents of the dovecote are very interested in these babies for some reason- lots of aunts and uncles are taking turns “babysitting”. Love is in the air-spring is definitely here for the doves!

i have no information what so ever how she managed to nick herself and BLEED everywhere!

She is not sharing with me how she accomplished this. however she did look quite smug when she came out of the vet’s (who loves her) with her pretty in pink bandage .

(i had it wrapped with 4 layers-a pad, gauze, ace bandage and duct tape)

i am thrilled with my “angel of the bones”- which i won in a raffle last night at Gilda and Mark’s wonderful  ”fiesta de los poodles party”

The proceeds will benefit  Fix-nation and  to AARF (Addison dogs Assistance and Resource Funding)

i.e. financial assistance for those whose dogs have addison’s disease and cannot afford to pay.

She is taking cuttings from her wonderful drought tolerant garden- and will plant them in pots painted by all who participate this wonderful project.

My first pot-

we all know this guy in the blue dress walking the dog-a poodle of course!

Daisy, the white fronted amazon is staying with me for a few weeks. Her owners could not keep her so she is going to live with David and Paul. They have a FABULOUS bird sanctuary- Daisy is a very lucky girl!

this is the girl i am fostering "Daisy" she just finished her lunch while watching me paint.

So,  few weeks ago, I brought my friend, Ruth di Nicola, some paper treasures.

She is a well known and fabulous assemblage artist- but i had no idea that she was also a painter.

This is one of her tributes to the wonderful Edward Hicks- so lovely.

She had the treasure hidden way in the back  of her studio-but of course i try and see everything!

she saw that i fell in love with it and graciously gifted it to me.

I had the perfect gilt drop dead gorgeous Victorian frame, they do each other justice.

It hangs in the bedroom, so it’s the first thing I see when I open my eyes (with the exception of a cat or dog looking at me- the morning “stare” -willing me to get up for a walk or food)
