Dog Day afternoon at Poodleville

this is woo (the kitty) sitting next to rosie-who is part of my bone series.

when i brought rosie and her friend wycliff home from the gallery after my show closed-i thought great! i will sit them down on the pieces of furniture that i would like to discourage the cats from sitting/shedding on.

(note the purple velvet chair-it showcases white cat hair beautifully)

as you can see- woo had a different idea-he found a friend.

such a beautiful day in LA today!

we are so spoiled-this last few weeks of rain has been a difficult adjustment for most

(a little rain and the city falls apart)

the tree gates are almost done.  this was lukes first project after completing his welding class at the local junior college – AMAZING-i love them!

when i was taking the picture-the herd across the street was enjoying the sunshine. one of the mares started rolling to get rid of her “muddy coat” and then took off like a flash just for fun-of course the rest followed.

is not so bad at my house!

My friend, Ross Peterson-a gifted poet- will be reading new works at Ten Women Venice this Sat.

yesterday was a beautiful crisp sunny day-today we have rain.

our neighbors up the hill rescue horses-every spring the sight of the herd grazing is always breathtaking.

i am fostering the pionus parrot “sugar” until she can find a ride to her fabulous new home in las vegas with david and paul.

she is a doll-very sweet-adjusting to the busy home with 3 great danes and 2 very spoiled cats.

goosegirl #2 will be at the cactus gallery’s doll show next month-so much fun there might be a #3!

will be soooooo fun-hope to see you there!
